Sinus infections may be caused by lifestyle choices.
Sinus Infections and Ear Infections
- Air conditioning encourages people to keep doors and windows closed. This creates a hospitable environment for mildew, molds and other bad guys to grow. It also encourages folks to spend more time indoors.
- Sinus infections often caused by phlegm, snot, mucus. They are the same thing in different configurations.
- Milk and other dairy products can cause the body to make more phlegm causing the sinuses cavities to become plugged and not drain good. This too puts up a happy house for the germs.
- The Eustachian tubes that drain the middle ears suffer the same fate as the sinuses. This causes ear aches and infections.
- Also, blowing your nose forces mucus into these empty spots.
- Instead of blowing your nose, sniff the mucus and swallow it. Normally bout two quarts a day drains into the stomach.
Blamed On Allergies
I believe that too many of these sinus infections and ear infections are blamed on “
allergies”. Furthermore, we don't take enough thought into avoiding the whole problem.
Got an earache or sinus infection? Then, it's a good idea to avoid all dairy products till the problem's solved.
“
Mucus is incredibly important for our bodies," explains Michael M. Johns, III, MD, director of the Emory Voice Center and assistant professor of otolaryngology -- head and neck surgery at Emory University. "It is the oil in the engine. Without mucus, the engine seizes."
