Revenge Of The Railroad Crossing
Revenge Of The Railroad Crossing tells a story of my encounter with the railroad tracks. It keeps as a reminder of needing to be aware of my surroundings. We can become so caught up in our activities that we lose sight of ourselves at times. Also, it reminds me to remain thankful even in times of struggle.
Revenge Of The Railroad Crossing
Gaily I ran down the gravel road
Dragging my tire behind
Wonderful exercise for and old dude
On a hot summer day
The nasty rails grabbed the tire
Like a death grip so quickly
Stopped my travel
Without a noticed or grunt
My feet kept churning along
Unaware the head and shoulders
Has stopped
And they couldn’t go far alone
Up into the air I went
But not far I declare
With feet still happily churning along
The landing was ruff
Now a smarter man I am
Although less skin have I
On certain parts
That bore the brunt
Keep a good attitude
No complaints
No broken bones
Still have skin
Where it counts.
