Behold, the Lucent Dream

Halfway betwixt awake and sleep
Happens the elusive dram
Quietly and softly it treads
The left and right hemispheres
Of the human brain converse

The subconscious mind
And our ‘awareness’ collude
And thus, we are privy
To immense power

To be aware of danger
And insight to avoid evil
Love and good, travel
Through this narrow window

If we but listen
To that tender voice
They conspire to tell us
What we need to know

They work diligently
But carry no hammer
To thwart the coming events
Intuition, an inner voice
Will not repeat
We must listen
Carefully

Illusive dreams flash by
And don’t repeat
We wonder why
